Mr. Haitham bin Abdulrahman Altraif

Mr. Haitham bin Abdulrahman Altraif currently serves as acting CEO of Government Expenditure and Projects Efficiency Authority (EXPRO), in addition to his role as Assistant Minister of Finance for Financial Affairs. Through these roles, he assumes focal responsibilities including supervising the preparation of the Government’s general budget, public revenues, government accounts, advancing the financial capabilities of government personnel, enhancing expenditure efficiency, as well as achieving the desired fiscal and developmental impact of government projects. . With over 20 years of professional experience in general and financial management, Mr. Altraif has held several executive positions in both public and private sectors where his career has centered on leading institutional transformations, developing financial policies, achieving operational excellence along with empowering human capabilities and developing national capabilities. Previously, Mr. Altraif served as the Deputy Minister for General Budget, where he played a key role in modernizing the preparation, execution, and management of the Government's general budget. He also held many leadership positions in the field of budget governance and currently represents the Ministry of Finance on various boards and committees across government entities and private sector companies. Mr. Altraif holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor's degree from King Saud University. He has also completed the advanced management program and the general management program at Harvard University.
